“I arrived at 10:55 for an 11:15 appointment. The ladies at the desk were prompt and efficient. They walked me right back to the room. I didn’t even have to sit in the waiting room. Once in the exam room, in less than a minute, Dr. Forthman came in. He looked over my hand and explained what was going on. He recommended a cortisone shot. He went and got it and, in less than a minute, was back. He described what he was going to do and what to expect. I was back in my car at 11:10. It would have been sooner if I hadn’t asked a few questions. The most important question was, could I play golf tomorrow, lol. He assured me that I could. Prompt, efficient, and professional. “I was referred to Dr. Higgins at the Greater Chesapeake Hand to Shoulder practice by a family member who works in the healthcare field. I needed to see him for carpal tunnel in both hands that was already determined via an EMG procedure. After my initial office visit, I was set up for my first carpal tunnel release procedure on my right hand within a few weeks, and then two weeks later, I had the procedure done on my left hand. The carpal tunnel release was done using microsurgery, which caused very little pain, managed with Tylenol. I was very impressed by not only the doctor, but also all the supporting staff and nurses. I highly recommend this practice for any hand-to-shoulder problems you may need a doctor for.”

“I love Dr. Innis. I don't let anybody touch my hands except him. I got a cortisone injection today in my wrist. He said it should help, if not cure, the issue that I'm having. They took me right on time, actually, I think it was early. The lady at the desk is very nice. I have been going to Dr. Innis for many, many years, and I will continue to go to him as I have many problems in my hands. “To start with, the office was very clean, the secretaries were very nice, and the wait time was very short. I was seen by Dr. Shubinets for numbness and pain in both hands and weakness in my left hand. I was very impressed with how attentive he was to my complaints. He ordered all necessary tests, and when they came in, he confirmed I have carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands, with my left hand being worse than my right. He performed carpal tunnel syndrome release surgery on my left hand, and I couldn't believe that I barely had any pain at all. He checked with me to see how my recovery was doing. Because I've been suffering with it for so long, of course, it's going to take a while to have it improve; however, he is without a doubt the best surgeon I've ever had.
