CHARGE ENTRY BILLING REPRESENTATIVE
A rare opportunity for an experienced Medical Billing Representative to work Charge Entry needed for the Greater Chesapeake Hand to Shoulder.
FUNCTIONS: This individual will report to the Billing Manager and is responsible for coordinating, verifying, and charge entry of all billable services. The position requires excellent communication and time management skills. The candidate should have the ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced environment, prioritize daily tasks, meet tight processing deadlines, work well in a team environment and be adaptable to change.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have excellent communication skills. Candidate must be able to multi-task, and be detail oriented. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Position entails prolonged sitting and typing with extensive computer and telephone use. Lifting is limited.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position. Knowledge of ICD-10, and CPT and HCPCS coding a must. Candidate should have at least three (3) years of medical billing office experience including contacting major medical payers, workman's comp and commercial insurance payers. Experience with Allscripts Practice Management and SRS EHR is a plus. CPC certification a plus. Above average typing skills needed, as well as an ability to work independently, excellent communications skills, organizational skills and flexibility are required.
Hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday 8-430. No major holidays, or weekends.
